In this article we mention
Aayla
Secura, due to a voice sample, which I managed to get from the Hungarian
actress, who gave her voice to the Twi'lek Jedi lady in the Hungarian version
of the Clone Wars TV series. And since Aayla didn't speak a word in the
movies, we can identify Aayla's Hungarian voice with Ms. Gerda Pikali, famous
and celebrated Hungarian voice actress, and theater actress. Also, Ms. Pikali
gave me a valuable Aayla Secura autogram, which is a respected fan relic for
us. For the honor of the beautiful actress, her voice sample, and our meeting
I dedicate her a couple of articles, first this one, which can be identified
as Aayla Secura in the world of games.
You could choose from four civilizations in
Battlefront 1. It was upgraded to let's say "4 and a half" civilizations in Battlefront 2, since beside the well known Empire, Rebel Alliance, Republic (clones), and CIS (droids) came a fifth civilization, the playable heroes. The 4 playable military
fractions had many different services in the first episode, but all of them got some new squad members, or a same member that was earlier but who has some different task, or a new outfit, and therefor looked quite new. So these 4 old civilizations were virtually supplemented with a fifth, the playable heroes. Mostly
Jedi, but not always, because there were other kind of characters, too, like wookie, bounty hunters, (Jango Fett and Boba Fett), or Leia, Han, etc, that is why they were called "heros" not
Jedi.
Aayla Secura is a selectable Jedi master in the game Battlefront 2, if you
play with the Republic. You have to kill aprox. 20+ enemy units, and the game
offers you to play Aayla, as a Jedi bonus. To change for Aayla Secura, you
have to push F1 in the PC version of the game. Your initial character dies,
and you get Aayla instead.
Aayla Secura is wielding two lightsabers in BF2, a green one and a blue one (although she has blue and purple sabers in the cutscenes and the PSP version).
In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, she can be also seen carrying one lightsaber in her hand and another on her belt,
so Aayla is one of those movie heros, who were able to use two sabers in a
time, besides the famous human duelists, Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku, if
we do not count the rather robotic General Grievous, who was able to wield for
lightsabers, as we all know. Aayla
Secura is a skilled swordswoman who studied Form IV: Ataru and Form V. She also studied the Jar'Kai form,
that allows her to use two lightsabers.
Aayla
Secura is available ONLY for Republic players, and only in two missions. Yeah,
of course the first is evident, it is
Felucia,
where Aayla fought and died in the movie. Surprisingly, the second available
location, where she appears, is Jabba's palace. Her primary weapon, and attack
is her lightsaber. She can block incoming Force attacks and projectiles, and
even thrown sabers if you use the block command (button F). This is a quite
good defence, but you need to have stamina, to use it. Using Force speed,
Jump, or Saber throw is available for her, but those deplete her stamina, so
be careful. Aayla is very deadly with her two sabers, since each count as a
saber each. This means she can actually hit twice when she attacks. In the
game Aayla often jumps in the air, and spins around, which gives a 360 degree
radius for her attacks. Her secondary Force power is Force pull, what I found
pretty weak, and does not worth wasting the stamina.
We will
learn her Felucia campaign with the eyes of her clones, and we will
listen their comments and feelings toward their Jedi general.
A clone trooper states in the video game Star Wars: Battlefront II that he hopes that "her death was quick, she earned that much"; For Secura
had saved him and his comrades from being eradicated, and also helped them
maintain their sanity while they suffered from the planet's flesh-eating
viruses.
You can listen to an interesting and learning confession,
which was told by a Felucian clone trooper about Aayla Secura Jedi Master. "On
Felucia the Seps dug their metal heels into that muck of that alien hell hole
and dared the Republic to come in after them. So we did. Only to be met with
the month after month of flash eating diseases shrieking nocturnal predators,
and other sites that haunt me till this day. Cut off, and for all we knew,
abandoned by our superiors our only hope was Aayla Secura, our Jedi Commander.
Without her iron will, none of us would come out of that mess without sanity
or our lives. When her death comes, I hope it was quick. She earned that much."

Nowadays there are plenty of Aayla Secura skins, some are really wonderful masterpieces. So we can play with Aayla in many games, if we like her, and wanna try her fighting abilities. In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (video game) Aayla makes appearance in the Wii and PSP-exclusive duel mode, and is voiced by Kari Wahlgren. Also, if AAYLA is entered as a cheat code, the
Aayla Secura skin is available for use.
In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (video game) all concept art can be unlocked by entering AAYLASECURA
as a cheat code. In
Knights of the Force Aayla Secura is a playable character, if you have her
skin. You can download the skin from the Internet, and applying it you can
enjoy controlling her in the game, with randomly selected saber hilts, with
any color, one handed, or two.
Check out the Aayla Secura
in the movies and cartoons article, too!
