Mira

Knights of the Old Republic 2

mira grafikaMira is a female bounty hunter in the fictional Star Wars universe, first and only seen in the 2004 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Light side-aligned players are joined by Mira, though she appears in cutscenes and in gameplay as an antagonist if the player is dark side-aligned. Her voice was given by Emily Berry.

Mira lost her family during the Mandalorian Wars. Her family, like many other orphans were lost and died during the mandalorian Wars. But Mira's parents were on the opposite side, they were amongst the aggressors, members of the mandalorian army. So Mira was a mandalorian orphan. By the end of the wars, the Galactic Republic was flooding with refugees, and many of them, including Mira, ended up in the refugee sector of Nar Shaddaa. To survive in the hostile environment, she became a bounty hunter with the sole purpose of earning credits. The cruel profession however soon killed, or at least broke her soul.

Mira is first encountered by the player on the planet Nar Shaddaa, as is Hanharr, the other bounty hunter. One of these will join the party of the Jedi Exile, as is determined by the personality of the player character. Light-side players are joined by Mira, dark-side players are joined by Hanharr, although it is possible to complete the joining sidequests so as to get the 'wrong' character for a player's alignment; such as gaining just enough Dark Side points to have Hanharr join the party and then complete the game as a Light Side character, or to gain just enough Light Side points to have Mira join the party and then complete the game as a Dark Side character.

Their connection however is older, then it seems when we arrive. The Wookiee Hanharr, was earlier employed to hunt her. Hanharr planned to ambush Mira in vents beneath the Nar Shaddaa docks and drive her into some mines he placed in escape tunnels, but Mira outwitted him by remotely disabling the mines and re-enabling them. Hanharr painfully discovered that Mira knew how to walk over a mine without hanharr fenyegeti mirat de még életben hagyja mert nem jött el az idje hogy az árnyföldre menjentriggering it and ran after her. (That is Mira's special ability, so the gamer should keep it in mind for later.) Hanharr stepped on a mine, and was almost killed by the detonation. Mira heard it, and returned for the injured wookie. Hanharr barely survived the explosion and hanharr choking mirabegged Mira to end his torment by killing him but, taken by pity; Mira saved his life, dragging him to safety from the burning hell. Unknown to Mira, this caused Hanharr to owe her a life debt, but Mira felt sorry for him and saved him. Mira did not wanted his hanharr could break mira necklife dept, she only wanted to help a living creature. But Hanharr detested the situation because he felt it made him weak. Torn between wanting to honor the ancient tradition of his people and an overwhelming desire to be rid of Mira, Hanharr serves his life-debt, while simultaneously plotting to kill her in the belief that it will free him of his life-debt.

According to the Wookiee code, a Wookiee should pledge a life debt to his savior. However Hanharr possessed a hatred for humans so extreme that it drove him to insanity. While Hanharr respected the life debt he owed to Mira, his madness caused his interpretation of that life debt to become twisted and evil. Hanharr considered it a form of 'living death' to owe a life debt to a human such as Mira. Consequently Hanharr focused all of his hatred for humanity upon Mira and instead of guarding Mira's life, Hanharr continually hunted Mira and threatened to kill her. Hanharr often stalked Mira, grabbed her by the throat and promised to derive pleasure from killing her sometime in the future, when the time was right. Mira often told Hanharr that she didn't want his life debt but Hanharr's insanity meant that he could see no way out other than to kill Mira. When Mira got to know that Hanharr was hired by Vogga the Hutt to meet Goto and kill him, she started her own plan. The squid head Visquis, and Hanharr planned to capture the Jedi Exile and bring her to Goto. But Mira came in her place, managing to render the Exile Jedi unconscious and fools both Visquis and Hanharr by wearing Exile's spacesuit from Peragus to survive the poisonous gases of Jek Jek Tarr, and went to meet the squidhead crimelord, Visquis, instead the Exile.

The story here divides into two, there is a canonical Light Side ending, and a Dark Side, which is not considered true and canonical. In the Good ending after Mira tracked the Exile, who was tried to be lured the into a trap in Jekk'Jekk Tarr, Mira stole the Exile's envirosuit (which was supposed to protect the Exile from the Jekk'Jekk Tarr atmosphere toxic to humans) and allowed Visquis to capture her.

mira_exile1 találkozásaWhile the Exile was trapped in the Jekk'Jekk Tarr tunnels, mira_exile2 beszélgetésVisquis allowed Hanharr a chance to kill Mira on his arena. However, Mira proved to be tough to kill. Even without leveling up Mira, we can defeat Hanharr and can leave him apparently mira bemegy a jekjek tarrba az exile helyettdead on the arena, but that is very difficult. However, many hard core gamers chose not to level up jól jön a peragusi űrruhaMira, because if we level up her at this point, we will miss the Force points that we could have shared, if we had a Jedi Mira. But since she is only a bounty hunter at this mira_visquis barlangjába jutpoint, she only gets basic attributes and skill to be leveled up. If you put some point on her, and spare the mira az arénában ébredremaining points for later, you can benefit from this later, after you have trained Mira a Jedi, and you can get many good Force Powers for your points. Especially, if you a küzdőállásba helyezkedő lány nem igazán stresszeli a vukitplan to use Mira as your Jedi ally, I suggest you to spare your points later. visquis üdvözli az arénájában mirátAfter you defeat Hanharr, you must deal with the Kath hounds, too. Visquis releases a couple of these beast from a secret compartment to attack the winner of the duel, who is apparently Mira. After killing the visquis ugyanoda juttatja ki szolgálta és aki ellene volt az arénábabeast, you can fight or sneak your/her way through Visquis' Ubese bounty hunters and visquis ráküldi hanharrt_miráralet the Exile in, escaping the tunnels. Just let the Exile deal with the bad guys, she will talk to those Ubese warriors and even the Squidhead mira_vs_kathhoundscrime lord personally. Visquis, however, does not have the mood to talk to the Exile at all. So he decides to hide from her somewhere. Despite he was hanharr vs miralaughing at the dueling Mira and Hanharr from above, safe between his personal guards, yet, he decides to flee and hide in the empty arena. The Exile jedi finds him there, shaking in his fear. The mira_veszkijaratExile wants to spare his life, but his guards turn against their master, since in real, they are influenced by GOTO. The Ubese warriors kill Visquis, capture the Exile, and transport her to G0T0's yacht. After that, Mira joined the Ebon Hawk crew in their quest to free the Exile from Go-to's yacht. After these crazy events, Hanharr is found by Kreia, the mentor of the Jedi Exile, regenerates his vitality and she takes him into her service, so yet again, Hanharr must pledge a life debt, this time to Kreia. However, so as to maintain his servitude, she promises that she will show him no mercy or pity.

mira_paralisis_dartShe remained mira_malachorloyal to the Exile, accompanying him or her during her adventures on the Ebon Hawk. The player can, if he or she has enough influence with Mira, then train her in the ways of the Force as a Jedi Sentinel. hanharr követi mirát a malachoronLater, when the heroes travel to Malachor V, Hanharr confronts Mira once again, and loses again. Mira is a Jedi now, and stronger than the wookie. hanharr_sertegeti_miratNo matter how, at any circumstances with any weapon, she will be victorious. With lightsaber, with a randomly selected rifle, or with mira_blaster_hanharrany Force Power, Mira will seriously injure the wookie. (The player controlling Mira can choose to either kill or spare Hanharr, although this decision mira karddal simán legyőzi hanharrtdoes not affect gameplay.) At Hanharr's desperate call for death, Mira can finally grant his request and can kill him, putting him out of his life-long misery. For this mira_razza hanharrt rővillámokkalact, she won't receive a dark side point. Very probably the game considers this as a kind of euthanasia, and for that, this is a noble act, since the poor wookie is blooding, and most of all, his soul is broken. hanharrt_sokadszor is megkímélheti miraIf Mira once again refuses to strike down a helpless opponent and spares his life, it is very likely that the injured Hanharr died there, when the planet was destroyed shortly thereafter by Bao-Dur's Mass Shadow Generator. This choice, however, does not affect game play. Mira's fate also divides into two alternative ending.

According to Darth Traya's predictions, Mira will stop hunting life and instead live it. She also said that she will die one day many years later but that she did it willingly and of her own choice, protecting others.

Should the Exile, after gaining Mira as a follower, turn to the Dark Side, Mira will follow the player into darkness. Kreia reveals that Mira dies hunted, a murderess and slayer of Jedi.
