Custom clone lieutenant figure inspired by a movie character

jango_obiwanI have already introduced a custom green clone sergeant figure to you, and told some information on the episode 2 clones. But who are these clones, and who was their "father"? In Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, it was revealed that the genetic template of the clone troopers was Jango Fett, one of the most infamous bounty hunters of the Galaxy. In exchange for an unaltered clone son, (Boba Fett), and of course for a substantial reward Jango provided his genetic material for the Kamino cloners. Later on, he instructed the Mandalorian battle trainings of the clones, preparing them for combat. we can see some_blue_and green clones queuing in a row for helmet and weaponClone troopers were engineered to mature at nearly double the rate of a normal human, which allowed the Kaminoans to build an army so quickly, but resulted in greatly reduced clone lifespan as a natural "side effect". Other modifications to the clone genome made clone troopers more docile and almost blindly obedient to the "proper" superior's orders. Who is that proper superior? Of course Palpatine, whose orders had a first priority in the clone subconscious. Palpatine was a big strategist! He set up a  "clone trap", so the Jedi wouldn't have any other choice. Let's look into the tricky Sith lord's evil thoughts for a minute. Clone Wars begun"You don't want to approve building a Republican Grand Army for me? I will do something about that! Either all of you gonna die on the Geonosis, or YOU will be those, who let the GAR come into operation, with that I am going to eliminate all of you after the Order 66, anyway you have no chance, either way you are doomed. You can win only time, but you cannot win the war! In any case the Clone Wars will begin! You'll all die, and the clones will enlarge MY army, after you seized to exist."

As I mentioned, standard clone troopers were genetically modified to obey orders unconditionally and without thinking from their superiors. In most cases it was working very well, we hardly know any situation when clones would have disobeyed orders, rebelled, or became traitors. For example Climber had disobeyed an order to attack his Jedi masters, which I have already told you about it earlier. There was no precedent for a clone to be a traitora clone to be a traitor, or assist the separatists, and divulge the battle plan to them, sabotage clone facilities, or vehicles, you will see a good example for it in the Clone Wars animated film. But it can be considered as a genetic fault, its odds are one to a million, but C-3PO could have determined that more accurately. This traitor clone has felt that something is wrong in the clones, they obey blindly, but he couldn't find the good solution in himself, because it WAS NOT in him. He wasn't programmed to be able think for himself, or make decisions in moral issues, therefore he couldn't find the proper solution, so he turned his anger against the Jedi and his brothers, supporting Asajj Ventress. But these situations were pretty rare. Mostly the instinct-like, subconscious, intuitive things could influence Palpatine's clone regulations, which he wasn't able to get the kaminoans prepared, and he couldn't count on it in advance. For this it is going to be a good example in the Clone Wars episode, when Obi-wan Kenobi sent ahead two clone scouts on Ryloth found a sweet and charming twi'lek little girltwo clone scouts on Ryloth, who found a sweet and charming twi'lek little girl, who awakened their fatherly instincts, a caring subconscious routine, which Palpatine couldn't count on it in advance. So the two clones ignored, or at least altered their task, they escorted the girl about, almost suffering a fatal loss of time. But it was incredibly funny, when the crying girl hugged the clone, the cold-hearted, manly, tough looking clone wouldn't even know what to do, and he reached out to the little girl with a clueless face.  They were taught how to kill, but not how to love, or how to give a hug, but somehow their fatherly instincts came to the surface, and clumsily hugged the girlie. So in rare occasions the average clones have free will. These situations occur mainly amongst the clone commanders, because their genetics allow them more free will, independent decisions, leaving them larger creativity, since they were those, who had to direct the handicapped thinking standard clones.  Of course even the master Yoda plays Galactic Battlegroundsyellow clone commanders weren't so clever like a Jedi Master, so Master Yoda recognized, that he could not trust commanding the clone army to the commander-in-chief of the GAR in the Battle of Geonosis.  So he had himself transported to the general headquarters to play a little bit of "Galactic Battlegrounds", there controlling the battle by watching the strategic monitors. He could watch and control the battle events, the advancing of the troops, directing the units, like during a strategic game, but this time that was not a game, but a fight for life and death. We never know, if Master Yoda would have the ability of battle meditation, like Bastila Shan the hero of KotOR, but I fear he wouldn't. Therefore he could only trust his wisdom and experiences, and his decisions could cost lives, and very expensive war machinery. Despite Yoda didn't risk his life directly on the front, but his role in the Battle of Geonosis was significant. One thing is for sure, practically the simple clone troopers didn't have this "I wanna think defect", and even amongst the clone commanders, only with a couple of exceptions, it can be determined, clones were rag dolls, Palpatine's puppets. The Phase 2 clones rescued the Jedi out of the Geonisian arena from Count Dooku's droid armyclone troopers eventually carried out Order 66 at the behest of Chancellor Palpatine, turning on their Jedi generals, and killed almost all of them. This event marked the end of the Clone Wars, also the end of the Jedi Order, as well as the death of the Republic. The clones embody a weird duplicity. While in Episode 2 they are the good guys, who saved the Jedi from Count Dooku's droid army in the Geonosis arena, and later fought side-by-side with the Jedi Masters for years, they became brainless executioners, barbarous unmerciful killing machines in Episode 3. Many of the fans like Episode 2 clones in phase1 armorEpisode 2 clones better, including me. First of all because they were brother-in-arms with the Jedi, saviors of the Republic and many Jedi Masters. Second, they were collectable, there were just a few color variations of the AOTC clones. However we could later buy a clone set, which contained 3 clones, one standing, one crouching, and one proning, but only 1 was colored in most sets, the others were plain white. (Later on there were a special set, which contained one clone lieutenantclone from each available color.) The most common available color clone was a red one, he came with a tripod cannon, so my my previously introduced clone sergeant and also this new clone lieutenant was made from a red tripod clone body. Clone Trooper Lieutenants have blue markings, and command platoons, made up of 36 troops (which are 4 squads - 1 squad made up of 9 troops.)

If you feel like, listen to to some typical soldierly clone voices from the data base of Galactic Battlegrounds:

Attacking the enemy, general.
I'll take care of it commander!
Target acquired.
Sir!
Targeting enemy.
The enemy is mine!
Understood general!
Yes sir!
You there, freeze!
Your orders, general?
Clonetrooper reporting general!
clonetrooper_standing_by!
Good guys wear white!
