I met Laci Lenart fellow fan and customer by chance. After a common figure
business he told me that the bought figure will be customized. We started to
chat, and later sent some letters, and it became evident, Laci has innovative
custom ideas, a blog site, and builds dioramas.
He
has not only great fifure ideas, but also dares to use household materials,
build a droid parts, and even electricity! He hasn't got that respect, that he
would have deserved, so these few works might attract the attanteion to him
hopefully.
Let's start with a custom Mara Jade figure.
Well, I used a G.I.JOE Scarlett
figure for the base. The head was changed, because I believed this torso and
this head match more. She got two lightsabers, one into her hand, and an other
on her belt. The saber in her hand is also a custom, it was only the hilt, and I
attached a blue light to it with a glue. The belt was made from a used worn old
polo shirt. A dry paint was applied over the surface, and it was ready.
The next figure is Admiral Natasi Daala.
I
love this character soo much! However, it has been never released.
That
is why I decided to make it. She was made from an other G.I. Joe Scarlett, like
the previous figure. The head was changed, too. Hewr hair needed some work on
it. The whole figure was painted to a different color. I had to paint the marks
on the suit, the signs, and everything by hand, using a refference picture.
The third figure is a holoprojector.
I
had to get an old garden lamp's inner electric, which seemed to be the perfect
choice, but any other small electric device should be suitable. A SAGA Yoda
levitation platform is the base, itself. 2 pieces of LED bulbs, a small switch,
some wires, and a battery were also needed. The whole stuff was put inside the
levitation platform, then fixed into position, attached a holoemperor on top,
and here we go!
And finally a R5-DS1 droid.
(DS=Death Star)
Making of:
- R5 head (build a droid piece)
-leftdroid arm (build a droid piece)
-astrodroid legs (build a droid pieces)
-legs (g.i.joe guns were modified for these lettek kivágva)
-heavy blaster (quick glue cover)
-torso (paperglue box, which is rotatable)
Two
holes
were drilled into the paperglue box, and I attached the legs, which were
previously also glued together. These head ball joints, so the could move.
Also,
both of the arms were made the same way. The heayvy blaster has a wire from the
back accumulator, which powers it. The backpack was made from a medicine
ampulle. The head was next, it got bottle cap's end, or I don't know how to call
it. The whole droid is fully articulated. A smal paint, some dirt on it,
gun in the hand, and it is ready to battle. Oh, I almost forget: an aluminium
pin was pushed into the head, that is on the top of it.
